Salutations,

I'm Joe Kneeland;

Follower of Jesus, Father, Web developer, Scout.

I'm lead developer and own a small boutique agency - SiteBuilderStudio, a name I've held for over twenty years. We usually build with the TALL stack (Tailwind, Alpine, Laravel, Livewire), and though it doesn't fit as well in the acronym, we recently became obsessed with FilamentPHP. We also do custom WordPress plugin development and Stripe integrations. Lots of API stuff.

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I spent a number of years traveling with a backpack, for a while in a VW van. I've lived in numerous basements, attics, sheds, rented rooms, and tents. My favorite though is just to sleep under the stars, which I've done tons of times. I now do keep a small but comfortable appartment. I've been living in St. Louis for several years now to raise my son, who lives here with his mother. He's brilliant.

My favorite translation of the Bible is the Legacy Standard Bible, which was put together fairly recently by John MacArthur and a team of other scholars. I believe Jesus Christ was a real man who performed real miracles and really was crucified and resurrected to forgive the sins of those who believe. He is also God incarnate. As far as I can tell, all evidence points to these truths.

I love to go camping, being on any boat, swimming, exploring, and generally anything outside. I play a modest amount of video games because they've become absolutely astonishing and are a great way to relax. I have a very sweet kitty named Dusty. My family means the world to me. Life is too short and every moment is precious.
