Salutations,

I'm Joe Kneeland;

Follower of Jesus, Father, Web developer, Scout.

I'm a serial entrepreneur and lead developer/agency owner. The agency is called SiteBuilderStudio, a name I've held for over twenty years. We run a small boutique agency, currently consisting of myself and a few of the world's best freelancers. We build with the TALL stack (Tailwind, Alpine, Laravel, Livewire), and though it doesn't fit as well in the acronym, we recently became obsessed with FilamentPHP. Everyone on the team employs AI coding tools to maximize our productivity, but we're the ones with plenty of experience who can use the latest tools to build the coolest things.

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I spent a number of years traveling with a backpack, for a while in a VW van. I've lived in numerous basements, attics, sheds, rented rooms, and tents. My favorite though is just to sleep under the stars, which I've done tons of times. I've been living in St. Louis for several years now to raise my son, who lives here with his mother. He's brilliant.

My favorite translation of the Bible is the Legacy Standard Bible, which was put together fairly recently by John MacArthur and a team of other scholars. I believe Jesus Christ was a real man who performed real miracles and really was crucified and resurrected to forgive the sins of those who believe. He is also God incarnate. As far as I can tell, all evidence points to these truths.

I love to go camping, being on any boat, swimming, exploring, and generally anything outside. I play a modest amount of video games because they've become absolutely astonishing and are a great way to relax. I have a very sweet kitty named Dusty. My family means the world to me.
